A well carved snuff box in the form of a shoe or slipper with a beautifully inlaid heart and diamond . 
Possibly a love token . C1840.
Unfortunately the lid is worn to one side and doesn’t sit tightly , other than that it has a fabulous colour and is so tactile, it sits well in the palm .
