A vibrant antique blue & white hand-painted jug with moulded grape vine detail, probably a piece by Thomas Dimmock of Staffordshire. C1840. 
I really love how antiques so often keep up with modern tastes. Even though it’s over 100 years old, this lovely jug has a fresh bright look to it that many modern ceramicists embrace. The hand painted branches are so free flowing, it reminds me of the wonderful bright blue pieces made by @beccajanestudio.
Perfect as a water jug on a summer table setting .
