A really charming folksy piece . 
A vibrant sampler, finished in 1848 by Mary Sutcliffe. On a cotton open weave backing and worked in fine wools . With a border of strawberries , and filled with baskets of fruit  and flowers , birds, butterflies and cherubs . With a central religious verse and a very naive Jesus and wobbly legged donkey! 
In very good condition with wear commensurate with its 170 years,  no holes!
