A fabulous Arts & Crafts paraffin lamp  with the Youngs* patented design. 

The tripod base has that lovely organic quality typical of the Arts and Crafts  movement with animal and plant forms combined .  The cast brass would have been silver plated and is now beautifully worn giving the whole piece a wonderful faded elegance to it.
