Every antique kitchen should have one !
A little bit of local history here ….. a 1928 Denby Dale pie plate with a fabulous steaming pie to the middle and some great typography to the border.
In perfect condition.
The local pie hall is still going strong and according to their website the contents of the 1928 pie were : “4 bullocks ( 600 lb of beef ) - 15 cwt potatoes , topped by a crust made from 80 stone of flour - 2 cwt lard and 2 stone of baking powder. This all added up to 100 cubic feet of pie which was sufficient for 20,000 people to have nearly ¼ lb each”
