A GINORMOUS stoneware flagon with a really beautiful ‘label’ in the glaze.  C1899.
The font is fantastic and it reads,
 ‘The Carlisle New Brewery Co Ltd. No681. Brewers, Wine & Spirit Merchants, Carlisle.’
To hold 3 gallons of No.681, whatever that was !
