The oddest ‘flat backs’ I’ve ever seen ! 
A pair of pottery ducks with applied real feathers C 1950 . 
Stamped to the bases , Made in Japan, ‘an tseapain tie a dheanta’ which strangely means ‘made in Japan ‘ in Gaelic , so presumably these were made for the Irish market . 
Great fun , they’d look fabulous on a retro mantelpiece!
