The Excelda Portable Gramophone | Briggs & Oliver

Here’s something a bit different ..... a rare 1932 gramophone disguised as an old camera !

Known as ‘camera phones’ because of their resemblance to portable cameras, The Excelda was made in Switzerland by Thorens and this is a particularly fine example in the original blue crackle paint finish. All the pieces fit neatly into the ‘camera’ body but when assembled this little gramophone can play a full size record.

In good working order.
