This colourfully lithographed fan is a lovely survivor, by their very ephemeral nature they’re so often damaged and torn…..
‘The Language of Flowers’, in excellent condition, each section is in the shape of an arrow ( to the heart !) and is double sided with a picture of a flower and it’s symbolic meaning with 16 flowers in all ranging from the commonly known ‘forget-me-not ‘ to the perhaps more obscure Conovololus, apparently a symbol of Humility.
16 cm in length.
