This is a wonderful and rather rare little book with the original unclipped dust jacket.

Published in 1946 by Transatlantic Arts Ltd of London and New York it is a quirky and hilarious cautionary tale in verse. 

The colour and black and white illustrations are wonderful and are by Suzanne Einzig who was especially known for her illustrations in Toms Midnight Garden, a childhood classic.
