A fabulous little volume, dated 1802 and in good condition for something over 200 years old! 

The hardboards are a little worn and the leather and gilt spine is a bit tatty but the inner pages are in great condition with only minor foxing. 

This is an absolutely fascinating read with chapters on perspective, japaning, colour mixing, design, copper plate and many more. 

With some great pull out illustrations, this would be a really unusual gift for anyone with an interest in art, drawing or painting .
