It’s a wonderful read but made extra special with its make do and mend stitching to the spine and some pages along with a handwritten dedication ‘for mother from her affectionate daughter and son in law , Alice & Harry , December 15 1897’ .
It has a comprehensive list of plants and their medicinal properties along with the various ailments to treat including freckles, childbirth, perspiration, ringworm , piles and scrofula!
478 pages. Inner pages are in tact , binding is obviously worn but its homespun mend just adds to its charm
